However, AcctWeb has developed a very good solution to this problem. Set out below is the strategy we've developed over the past 3-4 years that we believe finally reverses this situation. We can now claim to: - remove a long term problem for Accountants (developing and distributing Newsletters);
- use the cost effectiveness of the Internet;
- keep your site ticking over even when you don't have time to do so;
- bring clients to your site;
- increase interactivity to make client visits more valuable and generate questions for you. One way this is done is by adding 8 Financial calculators; and
- even develop new services, such as Secure File Transfer to remove the hassles of large attachments on e-mails.
The Hook This is what makes clients want to visit your site and what requires none of your time to achieve. For this we supply 2-3 articles a fortnight and even upload them to your web site FOC as part of the Goanna bundle (see button to the left). This keeps clients up-to-date; can stimulate them to ask questions; and frees up your valuable time for day to day tasks. The SoW editing tools we developed for Accountants then allow an inexperienced and untrained person to add stories about the Practice's achievements and in this way make the site a more interesting and powerful marketing tool at the same time. Bring clients to read, don't wait for them. For this you send an e-mail after we've advised of an article update. This says little more than CLICK HERE and is linked to the Latest News section of your Site. In this way there are no distribution costs such as printing, envelopes, stamps, and employee time, and even the most inexperienced client will still get to your site by clicking on the link in the e-mail. Once they're at your site. Information on latest Issues is one thing but making the site more useful and interesting is a must also. Again AcctWeb has added services that develop this part of the strategy as well, for more detail of what they are please see the Goanna Bundle. Yet, having done the above we're looking for more ways to add functionality. Two options being considered are Portfolio Management and e-Mail Back up. These represent a slight shift in that AcctWeb has been approached by other companies wanting to supply Accountants and one approach to you is always better than many. Another of our objectives is to have your clients set your site as their default Browser site and this will only happen if your site performs for them, as we know it now does. How is this strategy implemented? Web sites in the past have been expensive and hard to use. We've changed this by making the web site just a medium for interactive services, which means it needs to convey a professional image, but needn't have to cost very much. It's what it does that's important and the services noted above work in this direction. For example, - if you have a site then we, or your web master, can update content and image if need be and then 'bolt' on any or all of our services.
- if a Practice is small or simply wants somewhere to start then they can have a SoW site FOC when ordered with our Goanna Bundle. See www.davidkew.com.au as an example of such a site.
- a Practice wants more corporate information on the site, such as About Us and Services, then our Lite Site is the cheapest option. Again very cost effective if purchased with some of the above services.
- a Customised Site is our Rolls Royce version as it reflects as well as possible your Practice's image and professionalism. See examples by clicking on Web Site Type button to the left. Once a site type is chosen then the services are added.
- There is a Bundle offer of services only that includes the 2-3 articles a fortnight; SoW database and editing module; 8 Financial Calculators; AcctWeb's search engine for Accountants - the AIO; and Secure FTP for $1,380 pa, inc GST.
- All services can be purchased separately. Why AcctWeb's strategy works. This strategy is based on AcctWeb's experience working on the Internet needs of over 250 Accounting Practices. Practices ranging from sole Practitioners to those with over 200 staff. All have individual needs but there are common threads and problems we have focus on and overcome.
