A web site strategy for Businesses.
One business recently paid $7,000 for a web site that no one in the company can use. They then purchased a newly developed AcctWeb site for half the price and staff are adding, using and updating the content. They lament us not being there earlier.

Many businesses have web sites but most will tell you it's only to be seen to have one, as they can't really do anything with it. Why is this the case?
Put simply, until now a web site has been developed by web site people who produce product to suit their needs, so a web site is just another job that needs to be completed so the next can be started.  This means the site can look brilliant but the 'back-end' on them all is unusable by an inexperienced and untrained member of their client's staff and it's this that's the killer.

Click here to see DaiEi Australia's new site using AcctWeb's new method of web site construction. A site they love, but what's the difference?
At AcctWeb we started from this position and worked backward.  In our scenario a Sales Manager must be able to edit a site so it can immediately become an ongoing part of the company's communication strategy.  It must then be seen regularly by dealers, distributors and clients; sales reps of all kinds must use it; and it must be updateable immediately a decision is made.

For example, a new product or pricing strategy is to be introduced.  Currently, a business waits for flyers and brochures to be printed, sales reps usually have to visit a client before they are aware of the change, a mail out may be organised but that's expensive, a new - temporary - price list is organised but it's photocopied (yuck), etc etc.  The result is delay that costs sales and a lot of expense before even getting started.

With an AcctWeb site and strategy the scenario would go as follows:
  • A site is developed that looks good and professional.
  • The Sales Manager can have his or her own staff add content and alter it at will.
  • Our strategy includes Sales training for Reps so they know how to use the site.
  • Very soon after new prices or products are added all Dealers and Distributors are aware of it, and can even start placing orders.
  • When a Rep visits he or she doesn't have reams of expensive flyers etc to hand the buyer who dutifully files them away but rather they sit with the buyer, go to the web site, and run through what's new etc.
Now for virtually no cost a 'virtual product launch' can happen in minutes rather than weeks and your distribution network is the first to know.  Sales reps then follow up to make sure all is working as it should answer questions, etc.

As noted, we can do this at a fraction of the cost of a conventional web site plus put the company in the driver's seat.  Better still, is that if the person who currently 'drives' the web site leaves then the next person can pick it up just as easily as they can a wordprocessor.  For example, one company had a conventional web site done for about $10,000, yet they lament not being able to use it; AcctWeb produced a site for another division for less than half the price, included Sales training, and the company can change any product content they like, they have strategies to get information to their distribution network immediately, and there's a Latest News strategy as well.

They believe for the first time that a web site can be a lot more than an expensive Internet based Contact details.
