Mini-sites, sub-sites, Landing Pages and sub-domains
In the marketing planning sections of this site there's reference to using a combination of website related technologies to provide the infrastructure needed to allow the implementation of your marketing strategies in a more rewarding way. The following are four examples of extra components needed to better implement strategies such as greater control of corporate super clients, a better reflection of your business to help clients make more from your services, help with target marketing, and to allow targets to be better displayed in your URL.
1. Mini-Sites.
A mini-site is a stand alone website though still controlled by your main website's CMS. Such a site is usually devoted to a given target and contains quite a bit of information for the better interaction with and return from that target. A very good place to use a mini-site is when you want to differentiate yourself from others seeking the same Corporate Super client. This is an even better solution when coupled with a sub-domain.
2. Sub-site.
A sub-site is where you want a website structure that's controlled by the one CMS but which separates different parts of your Practice. For example, a Practice has an Accountant and Financial Planner section and these can generate more business if displayed and marketed separately. In this case, there can be a Group page and then two sub-sites with the latter easily navigable between them. An example of this is Eden Wiseman or Strategy Financial Consulting.
3. Landing page (LP)
This is one web page that focuses on making an offer to a specific target market, Doctors for example, or product and services, Insurance for example. A Landing Page is often used to support a broader campaign such as advetisements in an industry journal or magazine or a TV or Radio campaign. The aim is to attract a person's attention, make an offer they want to know more about, though they must come to this conclusion within a minute or two after exposure to your LP, there needs to be a simple form they can complete, and they need a response from you within 24 hours.
LPs are also managed by your main website's CMS and are usually accompanied with a URL that reflects the offer.
4. Sub-domains.
A domain can have a number of sub-domains attached to it and is very helpful when marketing to targets such as Corporate Super schemes. An example of how it works is that you have a website address but the 'www' can be anything because the 'www' is itself just a sub-domain of your domain name. We can show you how to use this to your advantage by building even stronger ties with your clients.
